As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor. Michael received a Counseling Master's in Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Shorter University in Atlanta, GA. Michael presents as a seasoned Licensed Therapist that has worked in a lot of community-based settings and roles. I have worked in an inpatient hospital in social work for 6 years. Over the last 12 to 15 years providing Clinical Supervision and Clinical Director roles supervising unlicensed staff and providing oversight to clinical programs. Currently, as the Director of Clinical Operations oversees an outpatient mental health facility that provides psychiatric, medical, and mental health counseling services. Michael’s scope of practice is many and varied utilizing cognitive and behavior therapy and other specialty modalities providing individual, family, and couples counseling to children, adults, and families. Areas of specialties include issues of meditation and mindfulness, addictions, grief and loss, depression problems, oppositional and defiant issues for children, homelessness, spiritual connectedness, leadership development, stress management, LGBTQ issues, and trauma that impact the growth, development, and potentially impeded on one's personal growth.
