Hello! I am Melissa Hale, a licensed therapist (LCSW) in Missouri with over 10 years of experience, working with individuals who suffer with grief, loss, depression, trauma, abuse, bariatric difficulties, career challenges, relationship issues and psychiatric disorders. When working with me, you will be in a supportive, friendly, welcoming, interactive and safe environment.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to reach out to someone for assistance, but I am glad you did! I would love the opportunity to assist you in making your life better and happier. I believe it is so important to treat everyone with respect, compassion, integrity and dignity which everyone deserves. Meaning, that I am here to listen without labeling or judgment.

I have a Bachelor of Science from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University. I have been married for 9 years and we have a teenage son, so I totally understand the struggles of juggling work, marriage and raising a teenager, but also raising a child who is adopted. In our free time we enjoy camping, hiking, cruises, playing with our 2 dogs and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

I have spent the last 2 years on a personal journey of losing 145 lbs. Since that time I have been providing support to other bariatric patients. I find it easier to talk to someone who completely understands the challenges involved with losing weight and also considering a bariatric surgery. While you are working on the outside, you need to work on the inside in order for the transformation to be successful.

My schedule is open in the evening hours only for those individuals who have a challenging work schedule, but still would like the opportunity to speak to someone. The stress of missing work for an appointment can be removed by our evening hours.
