The next step could be transitioning from high school to college, beginning a new relationship, or a new career/job. I like to support the client with exploring these new goals, help build confidence/self-esteem to take those first steps towards them, and re-evaluate goals if necessary. I find that these transitions come with a lot of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues that can hold clients back, which I like to explore, build solutions, and help them realize that goals are achievable. I have worked with a wide range of clients of all ages, as well as individuals and families. I enjoy working with young adults transitioning to adulthood. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, parenting struggles, substance use disorders, self-harm, life transitions, ADHD and ODD, and self-esteem-related issues. My counseling style is interactive, warm, and welcoming. My therapeutic approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and is client-centered. I also implement psychoeducation to offer continuous support, feedback, and focus on long-term maintenance. I am open to feedback and appreciate honesty within the therapeutic relations.
