About

I am a Licensed Professional counselor, committed to helping others through their own journeys of life. I obtained my degree from Liberty University and have years of experience in our mental health field.
My back ground focus is with adolescences and teens ages 12 to 17, as well as families, parenting, couples, and siblings. Within these groups I have counseled ADHD, ODD, IED, RAD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Sexual Assault, and more.

My main treatment approach is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (focusing on the negative thoughts and learning to control them/ processing through them), Rational emotive behavioral therapy (helping to identify negative thought patterns that lead to emotional or behavioral issues) and Existential therapy. Based on studies and research, our human emotions drive our behaviors. In order to help those negative behaviors one must first learn to control negative thoughts and emotions.
My personality dynamics are warm and patient. I like to listen to my clients and allow them to share their stories with me. I feel that therapeutic interaction for a session is key to processing.
