About

I am a clinical mental health counselor that has worked with most adult issues to include anxiety, depression, trauma, victimization and other personal issues that get in the way of living a contented life. I have 4 + years’ experience. I also specialize in working with mandated clients to include criminal and sex offenders.
I say the word contented life because happiness is always fleeting. It is a moment in time that happens now and again in our short lives. Most of us live in a world of fear that stops us from being who we really need to become and to evolve as we live. The only constant in this world is change and we have to learn to roll with it. Fear is a natural instinct. It is meant for us not to get eaten by an animal or physically get harmed. It spills over into our modern lives in the forms of what we value in how other’s view us or how we view ourselves. This can come from many places as we grow into adults and also in any trauma we have experienced. Life is both good and bad at times. When we get stuck in our fears or our anger, we stop evolving.
I work using integrated therapy tailored to the person and with the person’s permission, work within the bounds of comfort with the therapy. Humor is not off the table here. Did you ever notice when you are laughing hard that you are present in that moment because you are too busy laughing to think about anything else. I strive to work with clients and not for them. Therapy is a process that includes both the therapist as a guide and sounding board and the client who is invested to get better.
I have an existentialist philosophy overall. We are born, things happen (good and bad) we either learn from it or get stuck in it. When our short life ends, what matters is what we learned and what did we teach. I am very real and blunt. I have a strength that I model in order to help a client build strength to handle the constant changes.
