My name is Marissa Moore and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri. I graduated with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in West Palm Beach, Florida in 2017. My clinical focus includes working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as these are the clients I feel like I can serve the best. I also have extensive experience with mood disorders, and crisis intervention services.

I believe that every client deserves a safe space where they don't have to live in fear of discrimination. Through our therapeutic relationship, we identify goals for managing stress, learning new methods of coping, and improving relationships. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and questioning clients, and understand the unique stressors that individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community face.

My approach is not a one size fits all, as I recognize that each individual client comes to therapy with unique needs. We will work together to formulate goals and a treatment plan with your best interests in mind. I use holistic approaches with my clients, and believe that the therapeutic relationship is where the growth happens. I tend to lean on person-centered approaches and mindfulness techniques though I do use CBT and DBT skills when necessary.
