Life is complicated and can be overwhelming at times. My personal belief is that we should not have to go it alone and fundamentally fare better with support and encouragement. My name is Marisa Stringer and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia and I’m looking to help motivated individuals work on personal growth and support them as they face life’s challenges. I hope to provide a warm, compassionate and inviting atmosphere where I can help you navigate life's ups and downs. I have been working in this field for 11 years and offer individual counseling services that specialize in treating a wide range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, substance abuse and relationship problems. I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I am passionate about helping my clients to reach their goals and find the strength and courage to make the changes needed to live a healthier and more fulfilling life. I believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental environment so that my clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
