Marie is originally from New York City where she studied and obtained a Bachelors and Masters degree in Forensic Psychology. After Marie graduated she worked briefly as a case manager and helped connect formerly incarcerated individuals to mental health, medical and employment resources, helping them to transition back into society. In 2003 she moved to Maryland and took a position as a psychology associate and continued to helped men and women adjust to the losses related to incarceration. Often this included dealing with past trauma, substance abuse, estranged relationships, financial and other socioeconomic stressors. Marie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and specializes in treating adults with stress, anxiety and anger management concerns. During a time of economic uncertainly following the recent pandemic many Americans are struggling to get back to some form of normalcy. Marie believes that she can offer you support not only as a clinician, but as someone who has experienced these issues firsthand. At the end of the day we all just want to confide in someone who will listen and demonstrate empathy… let her be that person for you.
