I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW, in the state of Florida, with more than thirty years of experience in helping individuals, couples and families to overcome life challenges. I have extensive experience with individuals of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I am bilingual/bicultural, fluent in English and Spanish. I have provided Supportive Counseling and Psychotherapy to many persons afflicted by different types of stressors, such as critical and life changing illnesses that require ongoing supportive intervention. I am also experienced in couples relationship issues, difficulties in parenting and schooling issues. I help individuals and families in finding and attaining resources that will help alleviate a particular crisis. In addition, my area of expertise includes Acculturation Issues, Grief, Depression, and Anxiety. I will work with you in identifying and processing those issues requiring transformation in your life. My systems approach to problem solving is provided with empathy, and care. It entails Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and ongoing psychosocial assessment to evaluate the outcome of the intervention.
