I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated with a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling in 2002 from Florida Atlantic University. I am experienced in providing individual and family counseling to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. I have incorporated evidenced-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Relaxation and Soothing techniques, Bibliotherapy, Trauma-focused, and Solution-focused approaches to treat mental health and substance abuse disorders. Recognizing that all people are unique and enter into counseling with different strengths and values, clients will receive the best therapy modalities tailored to fit their specific needs. The sessions will be client-led, based on the reasons for seeking therapy and the goals the clients wish to accomplish. The hope is to expand hearts and minds and offer a safe space for healing and self-actualization. I will work with my clients to develop a vision for a healthier, happier future lived to their highest potential.
