I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over a decade of experience working as a healthcare social worker and helping clients and their families adjust to new diagnoses, chronic illness, and grief and loss. I have specialized training working with various patient populations, including dementia, stroke, spinal cord injury, and kidney failure. My particular interests include managing the complexities of aging, caregiver fatigue, and coping with depression and anxiety. I also bring significant experience utilizing local resources to provide concrete help for caregivers struggling at home. We will work together to focus on the present, quite the struggle with painful feelings and thoughts, and work towards a meaningful life despite obstacles. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Georgia Council of Nephrology Social Workers, and a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Certified Provider.
