I am a licensed clinical social worker. I began my career in the child dependency field and worked with children and families. I currently work in the hospital setting and my current role is the emergency room, social worker. I have had a variety of experiences from newborns to older adults throughout my career. I have worked with a wide variety of patient populations. Many of the patients I see have experienced a traumatic event or recent life change. I primarily complete brief interventions in my current role. It would be nice to have a longer-term relationship with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I have a variety of work experience with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career challenges, death and dying, loss and trauma. My therapy style is open and nonjudgmental. My preferred treatment modality is solution based and cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. I also understand there has to be a good fit between the therapist and client. I am open to feedback on how to make our relationship work to best benefit you as the client. I hope we can create weekly goals together to work towards the long term change you are seeking. It is a big step to seek therapy and start making changes in your life.
