Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri. I have worked in the field of social work for 10 years. In that time I have worked with individuals of all ages on a variety of life's issues. The majority of my practice has been with youth and young adults. I worked in the public school system as a social worker offering support to high school students for several years. I also served as the campus counselor at a private college offering services to the college students as well as faculty and staff as needed. I have worked with individuals to build social emotional learning skills as well as counseling them through things such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief, family issues, and loneliness. In addition to my professional work, I have volunteered with a grief support agency in my home town providing grief groups for children and their families.
I love my work and especially enjoy building a trusting relationship with my clients as we work together to encourage positive growth and development. In my therapeutic practice I love to focus on the strengths of my clients and build on the skills they already have in their tool belt, while incorporating new skills as needed. It takes courage to start on this journey of working towards your best self and I am honored to be able to come along side my clients as they do the hard work towards building a more fulfilling and rewarding life.
