About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Southwest Missouri. I have been practicing for over 10 years and have worked with a wide range of individuals and families. For six years I worked in private practice, seeing kids, families, and adults. Since 2014 I have worked as a contracted therapist with Focus on the Family in Branson, Missouri. I have worked with hundreds of couples from all over the country in distress in an intensive format, working with them for 3-5 days in a row. I have worked with individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns including relationship issues, communication, boundary related issues, parenting problems, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, trauma, forgiveness, identity and self-worth, and more.

My view of my role as a counselor is to come alongside my clients in a warm, engaging, and authentic way. My style is to be non-judgmental, caring, empathic, but also to help give insight through questions, feedback, and active listening. I am really desiring to look past the behaviors and reactions we all have when we are in distress and understand the heart behind why we do what we do. Additionally, I use and teach tools to help with emotional regulation, communication, and boundaries.
