Hello and welcome to the first step of positive change. My name is Lori. I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri. I have over ten years of working with people from all cultures. I have worked in private practice with adolescents, individuals, couples and families. I owned my own substance abuse counseling business. I have worked in a female correctional facility as a therapist, a sex offender program coordinator, and a grief and loss facilitator. My specialty is trauma/abuse, anxiety, depression, relationships issues, grief/loss, PTSD, and life changes.

I love people of all ages and backgrounds and feel that I have a calling to help anyone work through difficult times and situations. I have worked with children, individuals, couples, and families. I have compassion, acceptance and understanding, and I am open minded. I am easy to talk with and aim to create a safe and non-judging environment for you. My counseling approach ranges from cognitive-behavioral, solutions focused, trauma focused cognitive behavior and reality. However, I focus on the client and tailor what is necessary to help you accomplish your goals in therapy.
