I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in sunny south Florida, and I am delighted to be considered as the therapist to guide you towards meeting your therapeutic goals. I have over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations as a counselor in the public school system. I have worked with adolescents, young adults and their families using a strength-based approach to achieve positive change in various areas of life. I have worked with people through concerns such as Anxiety and Depression, Anger Management, Communication Skills, Stress Management, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Peer-Pressure, Crisis Intervention, Self-Esteem Issues and much more. I am experienced in counseling couples through relationship Issues and parenting challenges. In addition, I have helped those who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapy modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have been trained in other approaches as well and can use the best approach to meet your needs. We will work together to create a treatment plan specific to your unique goals.
My counseling style is warm, open, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I am effective with people of various cultures and backgrounds, and I will provide a non-judgmental “safe place” where healing and change can occur.
