Hello and Welcome.
My name is Laurie Devine (formerly Laurie Bowers) and I have been a counselor for over 25 years. I have been with Find A Therapist since 2019. I graduated from Liberty University. I am licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of North Carolina. I am so glad you have taken this step to get help and I would be glad to help you through journey. Life is a journey and as a counselor I can help you through those rough spots of life. Life has many twists and turns and you are not alone in this journey. I am here to help you reach your full potential.
I use a client centered approach which includes the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-based therapy and strength-based therapy when working with clients. I value the client-therapist relationships and empower clients to see their own strengths, and positive elements of their life. I see counseling as collaborative effort and we would set goals of therapy together. Your goals for counseling are important to me. My goal for you is to help you through life’s twists and turns and help you reach your full potential. I am sensitive, compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental. I love helping people through their journey through life.
Over the years, I have worked with clients on life changing events, parenting issues, grief, self-esteem issues and anxiety/stress. I can help you develop coping strategies to help you through those difficult times.
