Hello and welcome! My name is Lauren and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been providing therapy services for 7 years. I have a strong background in treating individuals who have experienced trauma and/or are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship issues, lack of motivation, life transitions and struggles with self-esteem . I have direct experience working in a variety of environments and with diverse populations with specialized experience and interest in working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ population. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as ethically non-monogamous/ polyamorous.
I have been told that I am a compassionate and enthusiastic counselor. As I often say, it is my job not to judge you. I have training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. We will work together as a team to determine the best treatment for you. Seeking counseling services is a big step and I commend you on your choice to start this journey! I will typically check my messages a few times throughout the day on week days and Saturdays. I am open to working with you if you want to do a live session and none of my listed availability works for you.
