I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I have a specialization in Gerontology. I am trained in Complex PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and telehealth EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy). I have over 18 years of experience. I have worked in all areas from outpatient all the way up to inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I have worked with clients from ages 2 to 92. I have worked with clients on many varied issues including depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, stress, job loss, divorce, addictions, trauma, and abuse. My most fulfilling job prior was working at a residential facility that focused solely on trauma and addictions and their impacts.

My counseling style is warm, direct, honest, caring, and supportive. Therapy can be very challenging and it is hard to break lifetime negative behaviors. I work best with clients who are ready to make the needed changes and are willing to put in the work needed to make the changes. I am by my client's side every step of the way. I utilize worksheets, homework assignments, and send out weekly challenges to my clients on various topics of interest.
