About
You’ve made the first step by reading this, and I’m so glad you’re here. Life can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. As your therapist, I offer compassion, experience, and support to you in your wellness journey.
I have great respect for the courage it takes to confront personal challenges. It is not my job to judge you, but instead walk alongside you with support and guidance for your own journey. I am passionate about providing the best possible care to discover what’s keeping you stuck and what you need to thrive.
I have clinical experience in addressing issues surrounding relationships, dating, self-esteem, anxiety, substance abuse, depression, career, LGBTQIA-specific issues, families, trauma, grief and loss, HIV+/AIDS, chronic and/or terminal illness. I see each person through a holistic lens, a complex system with many facets including but not limited to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
My eclectic therapeutic approach additionally draws from the areas of Cognitive Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Harm Reduction Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Theory, and Humanism. I also have specific training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of PTSD.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Presbyterian College. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia, with a concentration of Clinical Social Work. I am based in Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, volunteering with animal rescues, exercise, and time with my two dogs and cat.
I can't wait to meet you.
