My name is LaToya, and I am proud of you for starting your journey to improve your mental health and well being. I have been trained in various trauma informed models to address anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders as well as other mental health concerns and even everyday life stressors. I often work with adolescents, adults and families in the community mental health, crisis intervention, inpatient hospital and outpatient settings. What is your approach to therapy? My approach to therapy is trauma informed and client centered filled with evidenced based practices to promote healing and meet each client’s needs. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? You can expect to take away a deeper understanding of yourself each time you leave session. You can also expect to feel safe and connected and honored in your story. You cannot change the past or get back wasted time but taking charge of the future makes you so much more powerful!
