Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Kristi and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience providing therapy services. I approach wellness from the perspective of the whole person, realizing that true health is achieved when we care for our mind, body, and spirit. I work with adult female clients affected by depression, anxiety, stress, grief, life changes, and relationship issues. I have specialized training in maternal mental health, focusing on infertility, pre and postpartum depression and anxiety, and mood changes due to menopause and other hormone changes/imbalances.

Born and raised in Georgia, I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at North Georgia College and State University and my Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Georgia. I have extensive post-graduate training in clinical approaches to psychotherapy and truly love the field of clinical social work.

My approach to therapy is first and foremost client-centered. You are the expert on your life and determine the direction and depth of therapy. Through a strengths-based and solutions-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals, realizing that one size does not fit all. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I support clients through developing skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards their goals. I also use tools like the Enneagram to help clients have a better understanding of their temperament, personality traits, and learned behaviors from their family of origin to better understand the lens through which they see themselves and others. I believe in the healing power of hope and human resilience, and consider it a true honor to join you in your journey to wellness and health.
