Kimberly Sims is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Arizona, Georgia and Washington and received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. With over 10 years of experience helping individual and couples navigate life transitions, relationship and parenting difficulties, she helps them develop tools to deal with the stress of every day life as well as symptoms of depression, and anxiety. Kimberly works with individuals with diverse sexual preferences and lifestyles and provides affirming, non-judgmental, sex-positive support. Every person is unique; no single therapeutic approach will be effective for everyone. Kimberly uses a strengths-based solution focused approach to get a better understanding of her client’s needs and will incorporate effective and research-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method when working with couples. Asking for help to overcome mental health and relationship difficulties can be intimidating. Knowing this, Kimberly’s goal is to ensure a supportive and empathetic environment so her clients can feel heard and accepted.
