Khiara Mills is Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University. She has experience in working with at-risk youth grades k-12, in addition to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder and autism. Khiara uses a combination of different approaches to treatment, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma and Crisis Intervention, Person-Centered, Stress Management, Empowerment and Solution-Focused therapies. Khiara provides a relaxed and safe environment for clients to express themselves in a way that is helpful and encourages growth. She is passionate in building a trusting relationship that leads to the empowerment and growth of the client. Her commitment as a counselor is to be authentic, empathetic, honest and flexible. In Khiara’s leisure time, she enjoys family time, time with her pups and riding her motorcycle.
