About

Hi there, I'm Kassandra! Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing! I am passionate about bringing empowerment and insight to the world of those who struggle to move forward. I am Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and have been helping others for over eight years. My journey has led me to work successfully dealing with a wide range of issues, such as Anxiety and Depression. My approach to therapy is unbiased, client-centered, and collaborative. I truly value diversity and its impacts and utilize a Gestalt and CBT therapy approach, emphasizing self-compassion. I have advanced training in Domestic Violence and Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), Domestic violence, abuse, and self-compassion. Kassandra welcomes you to start this healing journey and empowers you to move beyond your barriers. My Ideal client can be readily available to hear my professional counsel and be willing to work on treatment goals. My communication in therapy consists of active listening. I am compassionate, empathetic, and eager to see healing. My journey to becoming a therapist began in college when I was very interested in psychology. After I graduated, I became an academic coach and loved helping students. This led me to look into Loma Linda University ( My dream school) and found the marriage and family therapy program. I had a traumatic event happen to me in my life, and I was interested in understanding why others behave the way they do and how healing can come from trauma. This led me to work with people who have anxiety, depression, trauma, and domestic violence. I also became certified as a Moral reconation Therapist. My Therapeutic goals in making clients successful are working on the treatment plan and checking in that goals are being met. I work on the initial assessment that consists of questions geared toward developing the treatment plan. From there, I check in with the clients to see if they have made progress.
