Hello and thank you for your interest in my profile! My name is Julia Luechtefeld and I've been practicing as a counselor since 2016. Before obtaining my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential, I chose to become a CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) and a CPT (Certified Play Therapist). I grew up in St. Louis, MO and got both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Maryville University. My rehabilitation counseling program not only prepared me to become an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), but also focused on helping individuals with disabilities obtain a higher quality of life through gainful employment and/or schooling.

Over the years, I've worked with people of all ages, genders, backgrounds, etc. and gained experience helping those who suffer from things such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-esteem issues, and PTSD/trauma and stress-related issues. I practice from a person-first, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach and believe that, given the right levels of support and guidance, we all have the ability to thrive and live a healthy and meaningful life. Like you, I know that every person is unique and has their own ways of communicating and coping. Because of this, I make sure to use an individualized approach with everyone I get the pleasure of working with. I am truly passionate about what I do and will provide you with a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental environment.
