Hi! My name is Joy Fullhardt and I’m a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in the state of New York. With over 25 years experience, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work in various mental health settings. My specialties include working with individuals, couples and families involving crisis/trauma, alcohol/substance addictions, transitions, and learning disabilities.
I am a firm believer in the strengths perspective where the individual’s strengths and skills will be used to address presenting issues in order to achieve and maintain well being. And YES, you do have strengths and skills. Cognitive therapy as well as looking at the various systems ie. family, religion, culture that affect one’s life will be discussed in order to understand and modify thoughts and feelings.
We will have the opportunity to work together in an agreed upon, comfortable, safe environment in order to build trust, help focus on issues presented, enhance motivation, and establish realistic goals,
