About

Hi, my name is Josh and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wisconsin, USA.

To begin, I value you for your courage to ask a professional stranger like me to be in your corner. And, I am honored at the opportunity to get to be in your proverbial corner, supporting your healing and growth. As such, you can always count on me to be a compassionate and encouraging resource throughout our work together.

Additionally, I see you as the primary field expert of the data (i.e. your past thoughts, feelings, experiences) of your life. Together, we will analyze the data you provide, so being authentic here is key. It is through this collaboration process of sifting through your life's data that we can develop the best strategies to help you reach your counseling goals in response to said data.

Once you have accomplished in therapy what you wanted to, then our therapeutic relationship will come to its end. This is often a difficult time to say goodbye, but it is a healthy one as it promotes your ongoing growth and prohibits any potential codependent counselor-client relationship from hindering your autonomy.

My hope for you is that you live your life with more peace, hope, strength, and resolve as a result of every session that we meet. Naturally, I aim to support your pursuit of those personal revelations that will empower you to overcome & heal from whatever past issues, hurts, traumas, fears, and negative beliefs that have brought you to counseling. My desire as your therapist is that you would experience growth in your self-confidence, self-understanding, and self-skills as a result of our time together. So, much of what I do in my therapeutic approach with you will seamlessly embody these things.

If you choose me, then know that you will find a professional ally who will treat you with compassion and respect all the while delivering support-based insights and ideas to help you achieve your counseling goals in the most efficient and effective way possible. So, if my therapeutic approach sounds like something you'd see yourself benefiting from, then I look forward to working with you! (But if not, that's okay, too; and, I wish you the best in finding a counselor that fits what you're looking for!)

Sincerely,
Josh
