I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana with 3.5 years of experience in providing direct mental health and behavioral health counseling. I have experience providing care and support to clients from 10 years of age to 18, along with providing services to families of varying ages. The clients I have worked with have had presenting issues and concerns of: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, both victims of violence and perceived violence in home, relationship issues, and many more. As a standard practice, I approach the therapeutic alliance with a sensitivity and respect for multi/cross cultural factors and influences.

My experience is varied across different settings. I have provided individual, group and family therapy in both community setting, in patient facilities and out patient facilities. I strive to understand your own belief system and how it influences your thoughts, and actions towards every day events and situations. In addition to thoughts and behaviors, I take into account how relationships, communities and environment affect our reactions and perceptions. I prioritize approaching the therapeutic alliance with compassion, respect, and warmth.

My primary therapeutic approach is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have experience with numerous other therapeutic approaches that I have been able to utilize for clients in order to ensure a treatment plan that works best for you. Setting and adjusting realistic goals will be a collaborative effort between client and therapist.

Mental health is a journey. While it may seem like a mountain right now, I will strive to help you climb that mountain and learn new skills that will help you now and in the future.
