My name is Johnetta Barnes, LPC. I have over 14 years of experience in working with adults, children, families, couples and providing clinical supervision to counselors. I have extensive experience in working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, workplace/career concerns, adjustment and mood disorders. My experience includes providing counseling with individuals of various backgrounds, such as multicultural and the LGBT community. Though my preferred treatment modality is CBT, my therapeutic approach is a collaborative one that involves Client Centered Therapy. In addition I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as Emotion Focused Therapy, Humanistic Approaches as well as Psychodynamic Therapeutic Interventions.

It takes courage, strength and self-awareness to realize that you have a problem that you wish to seek help for. My goal is to help you achieve your counseling goals while working through your issues. Once you have gained your self-confidence, you will be able to utilize your learned coping skills and have the tools for success in their life.
