I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Missouri for more than 9 years. I have a masters in counseling from Missouri Baptist University and a bachelors in Biblical studies from Urshan College (formerly Gateway College). For over 5 years I was a substance abuse therapist at Preferred Family Healthcare specializing in addiction and mental health disorders. I have had a full time private practice since 2015, where I have focused on relationship, family, grief and addiction therapy as well as mental health disorders. I use an eclectic approach to therapy primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while basing treatment on the individual’s unique needs.

I have a deep empathy for the struggles clients are facing and feels it’s important to provide a safe place for them to explore what is troubling them. Most of my clients appreciate my laidback, but not passive, approach to their treatment. Every person and situation is unique, and there is no set formula and time limit that determines when someone is finished with therapy. As a counselor, I cannot there to fix your problems. However, I can assist each client assess their issues and their thinking and give them the tools to change behaviors into healthier, life affirming patterns.
