Counseling involves cooperation and I like to listen to what it is that is needed or wanted, and then offer assistance in a way that meets those needs. I know it is not an easy thing to go through a process of therapy and I respect that each person needs to feel comfortable with their therapist and also be ready to address issues or make changes that they think may be helpful. If a person isn't ready, I focus instead on exploring with them what would be most helpful in preparing for change. I use person centered interventions to address anxiety, depression and grief and loss. I have DBT and CBT training.
