About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience in treatment a variety of mental health and substance use conditions. I have specialized training in treating co-occurring disorders, trauma and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to help identify any motivators for change and use them to help clients achieve their desired goals. I follow a very person centered approach and believe strongly that the client knows themselves the best and I am just a resource or tool to help them achieve their goals. It is never my role to tell someone what they should or should not do.

My therapy style is one that focuses on building a foundation based on positive rapport with my clients to be able to challenge them on thought processes that are not helpful in meeting their identified goals. I combine cognitive behavioral therapy with motivational interviewing and many trauma modalities to explore past experiences and how they have shaped the core beliefs we hold true about ourselves to reverse any irrational thoughts that are not effective. I find my style to be very solution focused and goal oriented.

It takes a great deal of courage to reach out and seek therapeutic support and I never take for granted the vulnerability and strength of those I work with. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your desired goals!
