I believe that mental health care is as important as physical health care. I specialize in working with women’s issues and love what I do! Major changes in our lives, even happy ones, such as a wanted pregnancy, career change, romantic relationships, often bring distress and a decrease in coping. Anxiety, depression, problems sleeping, irritability, helplessness, hopelessness, codependency, and existential angst are lessened when they are normalized, validated, and given care. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is foundational to positive outcomes and my wish is for my clients to feel safe, valued and to be open to having a good laugh in session from time to time. I see you as a whole person, with a rich history that has provided you with unique gifts. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, EMDR and dialectical behavioral therapies in concert with attachment theory and the core concept of radical self-love and acceptance.
