About
Initiating therapy is often a difficult task, and I hope to help you feel more comfortable as you move through this process. From the start, my goal is to provide a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere that will foster a sense of emotional safety so that you may begin your journey to healing. I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Georgia, as well as a certified clinical hypnotherapist and a certified addiction counselor (CAC-II). Over time, I have become aware that my past experiences as a high-performance athlete have influenced my understanding of the mind-body connection and how it relates to our overall health. While attending to these issues, I value goal-setting and solution-focused approaches in addressing problems that hinder my clients’ ability to recover from their pain and realize their personal potential. While I use an integrated approach to treatment, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship above all else since I believe that a strong connection between therapist and client is the primary factor that promotes growth and recovery. To that end, I take an active role in sessions, remain client-centered, and foster a collaborative partnership with the people that I work with. I look forward to hearing from you so that we can begin our work together.
