About
My ideal client is an individual, teen, couple or family who are seeking to find "their" peace due to trauma, depression, anxiety, or transitioning into a new phase of life; weather that be a new job, child or adult abuse marriage, a new baby...etc. Life can be chaotic and at times very overwhelming which can often appear as if we are in the middle of a storm desperately seeking peace and refuge.
I utilize a CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical behavior Therapy) modality. As your therapist I will assist you in identifying what "peace" looks like for you and provide tools to help you pursue it. I am here to listen, provide tools, and empower you to implement tools. Evening/weekend appointments.
I have been given the opportunity to work in several professional therapeutic settings, with 12 years of experience and my innate ability to help; we collectively in our therapeutic relationship will attempt to find the tools needed to assist in areas of concern. Jamila is a LGBTQIA ally.
