About

Hello!

Welcome, my name is Jamie Bunch-Sanfilippo, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Missouri. I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. Most of my work has been with families with adolescents, single parents, couples co-parenting children of any age and individual teens ages 12-18 years old. The support I have been honored to provide has spanned across self-care consults, life transitions, co-parenting challenges, stress/anxiety, and family/relationship conflicts. Overall, my work with individuals and families has focused on how to reduce the stressors/conflict and increase the enjoyment of times spent together and in their own pursuits.

I am happy to hear your taking time for yourself and/or your loved ones to discuss the issues that are concerning you. When sharing time with clients I use a person-centered, holistic, and integrative approaches in treatment. When we meet, it is my goal for you to feel supported in a professional, non-judgmental, and empathic environment. I will begin by listening to your concerns and we will then establish your desired outcomes for our time together. Your goals are important to me and will be the foundation of our therapeutic journey together. I will then tailor the treatment approach to your needs. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I also have been trained in family systems therapies and see our world through a systemic lens. This means in session we discuss how our natural ecology can impact us, both positively and negatively, and how we can identify ways for your natural supports to be positive supporters in your journey.

I would describe my style as warm, empathic, and supportive, and I am ready to help you tackle your struggle together. We have all needed a helping hand and an easy ear to talk with now and again, so I hope this space would provide you that opportunity to make the positive steps forward for you.

I look forward to helping you in any way I can!
