I have been a Social Worker with Veteran Affairs since 2015, in that time I have develop a set of clinical skills needed to readily assess for risky behavior, and provide effective clinical intervention to Veterans with complex medical and mental health needs. I have completed Veteran Affairs directed rollouts for Cognitive Process Therapy and self-directed courses for Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. Some of my past and current duties have included conducting biopsychosocial assessments, intensive case management, substance-use disorder treatment, and facilitated psychoeducational groups based on ACT, CPT, and CBT. I have used these different therapeutic modalities to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder along with, anxiety, depression, and substance usage.

My approach to therapy can take many forms and is reliant on the connection and temperament of my patient. I can provide structured therapy, relaxed conversational therapy, and everything in between. With all the stress going on in life, therapy does not need to be a source of that stress but a way to process events, challenge thoughts and expressing emotion in a supportive environment.
