Hello, my name is Heidi Bubar and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Therapy is most essentially a partnership between collaborators communicating clearly, specifically, and honestly. As healthy communication skills develop, healing happens. Everyone deserves to live a life filled with pleasure, meaning , and purpose despite the inevitable difficulties life throws our way. Therapy is a process in which clients are encouraged to explore their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space. Sometimes the methods we're using are no longer serving us and new strategies can be implemented to improve our quality of life such as reframing our thoughts, fostering more helpful coping skills, and identifying patterns of behaviors that contribute to our current state.

My concentration involves evidence-based techniques rooted in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I base my practice on meeting each individual where they are at, whether it is years into the healing process or entering the process for the first time. I also strongly emphasizes the importance of an empathic, warm, non-judgmental, positive stance towards my clients. I value my clients' experience and am intrigued by their unique life experiences and perspectives. I believe individuals are knowledgeable about their contexts, values, and lives, and are doing the best they can. I look forward to working with you!
