Hello, my name is Heather. I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with over 10 years of experience working as both an in-home and an outpatient therapist with children, families, and adults. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including adoption and foster care concerns, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, parenting problems, family issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, and many others. I am specially trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have worked with a variety of individuals and families who have experienced traumatic events.

I believe that my work as a therapist is to help you uncover your inner strengths in order to overcome your current and past concerns. Therefore, my approach is based on your needs and goals. I provide a truly judgment-free zone and mold my approach based on you. I provide psychoeducation about different techniques and approaches, and offer insight into ways in which I could best be helpful to you based on your particular needs. I am also a proponent of using movement, art, play, and nature in therapy, based on your comfort level, of course. I am warm and open, and very much enjoy building relationships with each individual and family I serve.
