My name is Glenn Ritchie, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia. I have experience with a variety of problems, but most of my experience has involved working with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, addiction, and family issues. I have experience with a variety of populations. My approach I often combine evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal process therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I approach therapy with the consumer as the expert on their own life, so I often use therapies such as solution-focused therapy and narrative therapy. I find these approaches effective in helping someone reach important goals in their life. My focus I find my approach most helpful with people wanting individual therapy or couples counseling. I have helped many people recover from depression, anxiety, stress, family issues, relationship issues, past traumas, and problems with mood. I have aided many people with changes in their life that caused them distress. My communication style I work hard to maintain a genuine and supportive approach. I hold what is shared with me as sacred and do not make judgments about it. It is important for me to be approachable at all times. I view someone's trust as something to be earned over time. My journey to therapy I've always been a natural helper and open-minded person. I started off in the field of social work in 2007 and have done volunteer work in my community. However, I wanted to do more, so I went back to school to become a therapist. I have been a therapist since 2016. My goals for you Goal setting should always be a collaborative approach. I offer feedback, but the goal should always be the consumer's goal and not mine made for them. Accomplishment of goals is always built on the bedrock of trust.
