Psychotherapy is a healing process. I believe in creating a supportive, empathic environment to allow you to begin your journey. I can help foster insight, knowledge and skills to help improve your quality of life. The process of change begins from within. I can help you progress through your stages of change by teaching you skills, providing support and motivation to help you reach your goals and maintain these changes. I strongly believe in the self and one’s inner ability to restore any imbalance to help live a more meaningful and purposeful life, all the while navigating your spiritual and scriptural identity.

I work with my clients to provide relief from emotional pain and to address their struggles in life. The goal is to increase self-awareness, insight and to provide tools for better coping and functioning. I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and to increase their sense of balance and well-being. I find that people who choose to engage in the process of psychotherapy can achieve a richer, more meaningful and more productive life. I work with people who struggle with different life challenges, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss, etc.

Geries Shaheen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor operating in and around St. Louis, Missouri. Geries holds his MA in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University, BA in Intercultural Studies from Lincoln Christian University, and holds a certificate in Life Coaching. Geries provides life coaching services to clients online globally.
