My name is Geraldine White. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and Certified Marriage and Family Therapist. I have over 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. I specialize in working with teens and adult males/females who suffer with the disease of addiction; I utilize recovery based on Christian principles to help clients find meaning and purpose; I assist couples in restoring love, trust, commitment, and intimacy in relationships; I work with clients and their family who suffers with the HIV/AIDS related issues, trauma related issues, families issues, and chronic mental illnesses.

The psychotherapy approaches that I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Existential Therapy, Choice Theory, Psychoanalytic and Strategic Family Therapy. However, I often use Integrative or Holistic Therapy to tailor to my client’s need. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services at Mercer University, Macon, Georgia and my Master’s in Community Counseling and Certified Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University in Atlanta, Ga.
