About
Hiense My name is Fran Roslin, LMFT. Are you looking for a therapist who is direct, engaging, and compassionate with a sense of humor? That's me. I focus on women's issues, couples, adolescents with problems in day-to-day living to more complex issues that have reached crisis level. My strengths are in the areas of emotional eating, parenting, self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also work very well with issues of depression, grief, and general tough times. I look forward to working with you. I believe our journey in life is sometimes complicated and difficult. It is during those times when we are feeling most alone, that we need to surround ourselves with people who have our back. I'd like you to allow me to be the one who's got your back. My approach I work mostly from a cognitive behavioral orientation. I believe in order to make long-lasting change you have to understand your behavior in order to change your behavior. I also apply other theories when needed. One could say I am eclectic. My focus I see clients 12 yrs of age and older. I see women, men, couples, and adolescents. I enjoy working with issues of self-esteem. anxiety, depression, eating disorders especially emotional overeaters, co-dependency, teaching coping skills, grief and loss, relationship issues, and many others. My communication style I believe one of my greatest strengths as a clinician is making my clients feel comfortable quickly to allow the feeling of comfort and safety. I have a very casual vibe/tone. My clients have told me they appreciate the direct approach that I use. My journey to mental healthcare I knew I wanted to be a therapist from a young age. I was always the one that my friends came sought out to talk about any problems. It just came natural to me. I am very detail oriented so I have always liked to ask many questions. I have been in private practice since before I was licensed.
