Hello There- Thank you for stopping by my profile. My name is Felicia Johnson and I am an LPC- Licensed Professional Counselor. I have over 12 years of experience working with a diverse population. I specialize in working with women who are trying to healing from narcissistic relationships and new mothers who suffer from postpartum depression. I hold a certificate in Infant Mental Health, which allows me to help new mothers understand situational and environmental depression as a result of being a new parent. I hold a Masters's in Mental Health Counseling and I am a proud graduate of the University of Pheonix. I have a passion for helping others as they navigate through life challenges.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, which simply means, that your therapy sessions are catered to meet YOUR social and emotional needs. People are complex and require different therapeutic interventions. My approach is eclectic in nature, but I am a firm believer in Gestalt Approach- Meeting clients where they are. I also incorporate Narrative Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation- simply stated. If I can teach you, then I can reach you. It is paramount that clients understand the emotional triggers that create anxiety, stress, and depression. Therapy is one of the greatest gifts that you can give to yourself. Be selfish a little and take the time that you need to become a better you. Emotional baggage, often ways us down and we simply need someone to teach us how to unpack those emotions by learning new healthy coping skills.

I specialize in PTSD, anxiety, depression, SPD- ( sensory processing disorder) which is often mistaken as ADD OR ADHD. I often work closely with teenagers, who suffer with Separation Anxiety as a result of leaving home for the first time as a college student. I also, work with couples that are struggling with effective communication. Everyone knows how to talk, but it is truly an art to be able to communicate YOUR wants and needs without feeling guilty. Establish healthy boundaries to help in the healing process.
