About
Hello, My name is Faith Schweiger, LMHC,QS. I have been a part of the Mental Health Community since 1987. I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1990. I continued to graduate from Nova Southeastern University in 1993 with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. In 1996, I became Licensed. Since then, I have been utilizing my license in versatile, inventive, clever, and forward-thinking ways. Some of the unique experiences I've acquired are being a trained, Court Ordered, Supervisor of Therapeutic Supervised Visitation, Parent Coordinator, Family Mediator, and a Court Ordered Offender Mandated 26-week Duluth Model Batterers Program. I have been the Clinical Director of many Mental Health /Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities. My last position was as Director of Clinical Services at the Department of Juvenile Justice Treatment Facilities. My specialty is truly NON JUDGEMENT. It is all just IS. There is no RIGHT or WRONG, GOOD or BAD. How can any of us judge another when each of us is completely equal, and none of us are without error. Working with the Employee Assistance Program provides a venue to empower and focus on employees' established coping skills and problem-solving abilities. To be able to assist in easing any confusing feeling that maybe silently occur and providing a positive outlet. Individuals respond differently to major disruptive events, as we are all experiencing an unprecedented event that is imposing itself on the lives of essential workers, their children, and families, the experience of longer shifts, increased stress, mortality rates of patients in treatment and hospital setting. Being able to hear each person's individual experience can provide employees some relief from holding all the pressure, stress, and possible guilt inside. Some employees have deeper concerns, or the events trigger past events.
