About

I am licensed mental health counselor in Washington State with three 3 years’ experience working as a co-occurring recovery counselor in various settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including addiction, PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-worth/esteem, women’s issues, and chronic health.

Since the work of Freud, therapists have been attempting to discover the “best” way to bring about personality change. For myself, I have an integrative perspective toward the development of a therapy that goes beyond one single–school approach. I believe there is no one theory that is comprehensive enough to account for human behavior, especially when there is a wide range of clients with specific individual issues and needs. My integrative approach recognizes the contributions that biological, psychodynamic, multi-cultural systems, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral theories have to offer to my practice. I am currently working towards becoming EMDR trained and will have completed this training in April 2020. Please note I am unable to offer EMDR sessions until after April 10, 2022.

I believe in treating everyone with compassion, respect, and empathy. I am grateful to hold a non-judgmental, safe space for all individuals to find acceptance, self-compassion for self as well as process through their past, present, and future. It takes courage to seek and create change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support, encourage and empower you.

I look forward to working with you.
