You're probably asking yourself, "How do I pick a therapist online, and how do you know if she's any good?" This is a fair question that isn't often addressed. On top of that, it is hard to talk to someone you don’t know about your mental health, especially if you’re concerned about it. I am ready to meet you at whatever stage of change you’re in – you have complete ownership of your mental health journey, whether you’re ready for big or little changes, or even if you don’t know.

Over the course of my career, I have done a lot of crisis intervention and I’ve worked with individuals in an inpatient hospitalization settings, in a crisis, who are professionals, who are parents, and who have co-occurring substance abuse issues. Mental health affects everyone. Throughout these varied contexts I have advocated for client mental health needs. Sessions with me are a judgment-free zone.

Hi, I’m Emily Jones a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. I have a master’s degree in Social Work from VCU, and I’ve been working in my profession since 2004. I was licensed in 2017. I am trained in various treatment modalities, and primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
