I have been an adult, adolescent and couples therapist for the past 15 years. I have experience working with clients through periods of loss, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, family of origin trauma, infidelity and other life struggles. Over time, I have come to believe that therapy isn't just a service that is offered to fix a problem, it is an invitation into a fuller existence as we experience the pain and joy of life. It is a way of being. I intend to live my life with ever growing consciousness and awareness and I hope to support you as you develop your own practice of self development. I believe we are shaped and changed by meaningful interpersonal relationships with others and by intentional engagement with our own sense of Self. I believe our true selves want to heal and grow. This includes the mind, the heart, the spirit, the body and the soul. It is my intention to offer you a therapeutic relationship as you pursue health and well being. As we work together, we can explore the integration of attachment based therapy, existentialism, grief/loss work, emotion focused and narrative therapy, use of books and media, mindfulness and journaling within the counseling process.
I have a masters degree in Counseling and am licensed as a professional counselor. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I have a passion for working with individuals, couples and adolescents throughout the lifespan but have a particular interest in second half of life transitions and working with adults beyond age 40.
