Hello! My name is Elizabeth, however you are welcome to call me Beth. I am a nationally certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), formerly known as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working in North Carolina. After working in the behavioral health field for several years, I obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to better meet the individualized needs of my clients. My professional experience includes working with adolescents and adults in the office and community settings increase their ability to manage feelings of depression, anxiety, self acceptance, trauma as well as other sources of distress. Each person I work with has needs unique to their personal experiences. To ensure their needs are being met and the journey to improving emotional wellness is enriching as well as empowering, we must first understand the challenges currently in our path. Drawing from various treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused, Person Centered approaches we will work to address and work through these barriers. I am also trained in EMDR. As a counselor, I am committed to helping you reach your goals. By providing you the opportunity to express your thoughts and feelings in an authentically unfiltered manner, we will work together achieve the personal positive changes you are seeking.
